NYSPA's 2023 Convention is designed to help New York State psychologists gain skills to help individuals work on acceptance, mindfulness, and psychological flexibility in response to these challenges as well as to reconnect with friends and colleagues. Families are welcome as we plan to provide flexible social time to explore Glens Falls and the surrounding area! 

Our keynote address will be given by Dr. Beth Rom-Rymer, who was instrumental in getting prescribing privileges passed in Illinois. RxP is one of the main foci of our legislative agenda this year. Some other topics include racial trauma, how to best use a sliding scale in your practice, disaster mental health, the effects of COVID, and violence in the workplace. You can learn about equitable discipline, and how to work with children who have suffered trauma. There will be an ethics course that meets the NYS Ethics and Professional Boundaries requirements and a special Friday presentation by the Trust on navigating challenging conversations. It will be an incredible lineup!
